Here are some of my favorite resources for Down syndrome queries. If you have any suggestions please let me know!

National Down Syndrome Congress – I believe most states have their own chapters. The Connecticut DSC  has a FaceBook group for local families. It was comforting to have other moms to chat with prior to Hannah’s surgery.

The Mighty – amazing site that features stories about life in the world of special needs. Check out my Pinterest board for my favorite posts.

Babies with Down Syndrome: A New Parents’ Guide – This book is a wealth of knowledge, especially for newbies. I found some of the information to be overwhelming and could only handle some chapters in small chunks.

Road Map to Holland: How I Found My Way Through My Son’s First Two Years With Down Syndrome – I LOVED this book! I purchased it a month after Hannah was born and read it within days. I cried a lot at the beginning but ended with a new sense of hope and optimism.

An Uncomplicated Life: A Father’s Memoir of His Exceptional Daughter – Another quick read because it was incredibly entertaining. I think I had a smile on my face throughout most of the book.
